Obsidian Catalyst is a tactics-style strategy RPG inspired by the Shining Force series, with influence from Fire Emblem, Dark Savior, Final Fantasy and Skies of Arcadia. You will be leading a squad of 12 members, among over 50 hand-crafted playable characters as you discover the secrets behind the Obsidian Catalyst.

Story:

Our story is set in the world of Lossock. In the sleepy, countryside town of Vinheim in the South of the country of Rilinth, Eremar and his friends spend their days enjoying each others company and exploring the nearby countryside. One evening one of their group spies a strange phenomenon occurring in the forest near the village and so the following morning they head out to explore the forest and delve deep into some ruins. Inside the ruins there is a strange interaction with a magical keepsake and so the group decide to seek the wisdom of their elders to learn more. Upon returning to Vinheim they find that the village has been raided by soldiers from the capital city of Sicherheim, the town all but destroyed and the men taken prisoner. The group steal themselves away in the middle of the night unbeknownst to the rest of the townsfolk with the intent of doing the impossible: breaking into Sicherheim, locating the men of the village and rescuing them to safety. Along the way they find themselves embroiled in a much larger plot and that the fate of the whole world hangs in the balance. The Sicherheim army is poised to strike and it is likely that none of the world's other nations would understand their true intentions or really be prepared to stand in their way. Thus begins their journey around the world of Lossock, a race against time against the overwhelmingly superior forces of the Sicherheim army to uncover the myths and legends of the Obsidian Catalyst.
