Set in the Forgotten Realms, the game features real-time combat and dynamic co-op gameplay, and pits the infamous Drizzt Do'Urden and his legendary companions – Catti-brie, Bruenor, and Wulfgar – against some of the most iconic monsters from the world of Dungeons & Dragons. Frost Giants, Beholders, and White Dragons roam the frozen tundra of Icewind Dale in search of the Crystal Shard— and it's up to the companions to muster the strength to stop them from claiming and using it to destroy their home.

Story

Set in the frozen wilderness of Icewind Dale, a remote and unforgiving corner of the Forgotten Realms, Dark Alliance draws on the beloved characters of R. A. Salvatore's Legend of Drizzt novels. The story unfolds after the events of The Crystal Shard, following four iconic heroes known as the Companions of the Hall: the dark elf ranger Drizzt Do'Urden, the fierce warrior-woman Catti-brie, the stalwart dwarf king Bruenor Battlehammer, and the mighty barbarian Wulfgar. Amid the howling snows and jagged peaks of the tundra, ancient evils and monstrous foes stir once more, threatening the fragile settlements that cling to survival in this harsh land. Alone or united, the four companions venture into treacherous frozen ruins, goblin-infested caverns, and creature-haunted wilds, battling the gathering darkness that seeks to claim Icewind Dale and its people for its own.
