New Local Co-op Information Now Available
Find couch co-op games for you and your friends.
Gamescopia now includes two new features for finding local multiplayer games. Game pages now display comprehensive local co-op information for thousands of titles.
What's New:
- Local Co-op Status: See if a game supports local co-op play. Game pages now show whether games support couch co-op, along with the maximum number of local players supported (2-player, 4-player, etc.).
- Campaign Co-op Mode Information: Check if a game's main story or campaign mode can be played cooperatively in local co-op. This helps you distinguish between games that only offer local co-op in separate modes (like multiplayer or versus) versus games where you can play through the entire campaign together.
- Enhanced Game Details: All this information is prominently displayed on each game's detail page, making it easy to plan your next gaming session with friends or family.
Why This Matters:
Local co-op gaming brings people together for shared experiences on the same couch. Whether you're looking for a fun party game with friends or a deep campaign to play through with a partner, these new features help you find exactly what you're looking for.
The campaign co-op indicator is especially useful for gamers who want to experience full story-driven adventures together. Games like It Takes Two, Halo, and Overcooked offer complete cooperative campaign experiences, while other games may only include co-op in separate game modes.
How to Use:
Simply visit any game's detail page, and you'll see the new local co-op information displayed clearly in the game details section. Look for:
- Local Co-op: Yes/No, with maximum player count
- Campaign Co-op Mode: Whether the campaign supports local co-op
This information is now available on game detail pages across the site.
