Tied to the Beat is a rhythm arena survivor where the lyrics of every song reshape the battlefield in real time. Players pick one of 8 playable instruments, choose a track, and every word in the lyrics triggers a different gameplay effect: FIRE rains flames, FREEZE locks enemies in place, DARK dims the arena to bare visibility, RAIN floods the ground. The game's expressive core is a glossary of more than 2,000 words mechanically interpreted into 5 simultaneous visual layers per word (player aura, screen ambient, screen particles, enemy overlay and a concrete gameplay action). Players face 80+ enemy types across 4 hand-crafted procedural maps, with progression through level-ups, relics and a skill tree. Custom Song Import lets any player drop an MP3 into the game and get a unique run out of it. The game itself transcribes the lyrics, syncs them to the beat, detects instrumental gaps and generates the playable scenario, all locally with no external accounts or API keys. It works best with English songs, but dropping a matching .lrc file alongside the MP3 makes it work in any language. Steam Workshop integration lets the community publish, validate and download lyric files in one click. Localized in 30 languages. Full controller support. Steam Deck compatible.
