The Sixth Sin is a first-person psychological survival horror game. In 1996, thirty-two children died in one night at St. Adela's Orphanage on Blackmoor Hill. Thirty years later, the player returns to the orphanage carrying a box left by the only adult who survived that night. The game features a grid-based inventory where items have shapes and can be rotated, an ultraviolet flashlight mode as the only means of harming certain spirits, puzzles solved in the environment without a pause menu, hand-drawn ritual sequences, mirrors that act as passages, and a radio voice whose guidance the player chooses whether to trust. Developed by HAPPYTECH, a one-person studio in Türkiye, in Unity.
In 1911, Father Thomas Ward opened a book on Blackmoor Hill and something answered. Seven entities, one for each deadly sin; he bound six of them to objects before the seventh ritual failed. The seals did not break, only bound, and the binding must be renewed every generation. In the winter of 1996, thirty-two children at St. Adela's Orphanage died in their beds in a single night. The caretaker Mary Doyle vanished with the youngest resident, four-year-old Stephen. Thirty years later Mary dies, leaving Stephen a box, a letter and one request: return the box to the orphanage. One of the six is different from the others. It speaks. It persuades. It helps.
