About:
Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric delivers a completely new action-adventure gameplay experience for Sonic fans. The detailed levels and emphasis on each character’s unique abilities give players more choice in exploration as they work as a team to stop the deadly snake-like ancient villain, Lyric, before he can power up his army. Players will be challenged by over-the-top speed runs, but the heart of the game is focused on intense combat and brand-new abilities including the Enerbeam. This energy-charged cord can be used by characters to navigate the world like never before. Swing or zip-line across gaps, grab and throw enemies, take away their shields in combat, and explore alternate paths filled with lush environments and landscapes.
Story:
A spin-off within the Sonic Boom franchise, Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric reunites Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy for an action-adventure with a heavier emphasis on exploration and combat than the traditional platformers. The tale begins as the heroes pursue their old nemesis, Doctor Eggman, a chase that leads them to stumble upon an ancient tomb marked with mysterious carvings tied to their own destiny. Their discovery awakens Lyric, the last of an ancient race, a ruthless and long-buried villain with designs on the powerful Chaos Crystals. Should Lyric gather these artifacts, he threatens to unleash catastrophe upon the world. With the stakes suddenly far greater than a simple rivalry with Eggman, the four friends must band together and use their distinct abilities, from Sonic's blistering speed to Knuckles' brute strength, to thwart Lyric's ambitions. Their journey carries them across varied landscapes as they race to keep the Chaos Crystals out of the wrong hands.
