As a fledgling trainer, your journey begins not with the traditional elemental trio, but with a unique choice between Gothita, Timburr, and Galarian Zigzagoon. The adventure takes a sudden, dark turn when the region’s leading researcher, Professor Tenebris, vanishes under suspicious circumstances shortly after discovering the mysterious "Dreamstones"—artifacts rumored to hold the power to bridge reality and the realm of dreams. To uncover the truth behind the Professor's disappearance, you must team up with the region's secret services and investigate the activities of Team Somber. This enigmatic criminal organization is determined to seize the Dreamstones to awaken an "Ancient Terror"—the legendary Pokémon Koraidon—and reshape the world according to their twisted vision. Your quest will force you to navigate a complex web of mysteries that transcends time itself, sending you traveling into the distant past to prevent a catastrophe that threatens Cormoria's future. As you pursue Team Somber across the region, you must also prove your strength in the traditional Gym Challenge. You will face off against powerful Gym Leaders, including your own rival, Kohla, who serves as a Gym Leader at the Detective Academy.
