Pattaya Bar Simulator is a free browser fantasy game built on top of a real chain of bars in Pattaya, Thailand. Players run a virtual bar, hire staff from real venues, pick a captain each day for a 2x drink multiplier, and earn money based on the venues' real point-of-sale data, pulled live each morning at 09:00 Thai time. There is no random number generator. There is no simulated economy. The till tape from each real venue is the league table. A busy night in a real Pattaya bar shows up as a payout in your inbox.

Story:

Pattaya is the largest nightlife economy in Southeast Asia. Hundreds of real bars compete every night for the same walk-in customer. The drinks ring up, the till tape totals, the doors close at 02:00, the cycle starts again the next morning. In Pattaya Bar Simulator, that's the league. You run a virtual bar wired into a chain of real Pattaya venues. The staff on your roster are real staff at real bars. The drinks that earn your virtual bar money are the actual drinks sold at the real venue, pulled from the point-of-sale system every morning at 09:00 Thai time. There is no random number generator. There is no simulated economy. The till tape is the league table. Your first virtual bar comes with a starter bankroll and a Morning Brief from a four-character cast (Barry, Dave, Gregory, Terrence, and the Pattaya Turtle) who run the in-world Bar Owner School, an 80-lesson curriculum on captain picks, scouting, sabotage, group raids, and the seventeen-day Mayor of Soi Sabotage election that decides who sets policy for the league each cycle. Five minutes a day is the design target. Read the Morning Brief. Lock tonight's captain for a 2x drink multiplier. Scout a rival, ring the bell on a competitor for a shared boost, play a dirty trick to shave a few points off their drinks. Then watch the night unfold. Drinks come in, matchups settle overnight, tomorrow's league table loads at 09:00. The world has its own voice. The Pattaya Turtle, the in-world satirical newspaper, narrates daily events with deadpan tabloid headlines. Captains have catchphrases. Rivals declare blood feuds. The Mayor of Soi Sabotage stands on a soapbox and lies to the press. It is a fictionalised, exaggerated, slightly absurd rendering of a real Pattaya bar economy that the developers happen to own and run. Build one bar or build an empire. Compete in seasonal leagues. Run group raids with allies. Earn real-world rewards (embroidered T-shirts, engraved pint glasses) by hitting in-game targets. Or spectate and read the Turtle.
