About:
A witch who lost everything, and an old cat who promised to protect her. Mia & Mio is a hand-drawn visual novel about witchcraft and finding hope in dark times.
Story:
A sick witch and her daughter are forced to seek shelter in a small house on a remote island by the sea, after several months on the run. The mother gives the last of her strength to an old cat, so that he can protect her daughter when she no longer can. When the mother is gone, everything falls apart. The local community turns against them, and Mia is shattered. The old cat is all she has left. Two abandoned souls, bound together by grief and a promise. They journey into the wilderness, from island to island and across mountains, searching for shelter before night falls. Away from superstition and narrow-mindedness. It’s Mia & Mio against the world.
