Karantiin is an atmospheric open-world survival horror first-person shooter built in Unity. Players explore a hostile environment where they must scavenge for resources, manage vital statistics such as food, thirst, health, bleeding, radiation, and infection, and use any tools or weapons found to survive against threats. The game combines physics-driven combat with inventory management and exploration. It features an open world with story levels, two additional game modes, and environmental mechanics that require strategic decisions to stay alive. Monsters and human enemies react to sound, and players must balance exploration with risk. Development emphasizes performance and immersion, with configurable graphics settings, real-time lighting, and optimization for modern PCs. The project is solo-developed and continues to receive updates focused on expanding world content and gameplay systems.

Story:

Karantiin takes place in a quarantined zone after a biological or unknown disaster. The area has been sealed off, abandoned by authorities, and left to rot. Whatever happened inside was too dangerous or too expensive to clean up. Survivors, hostile groups, and mutated or infected threats now control the territory. You are not a hero. You are not “chosen.” You are just someone who ended up inside the zone and has to survive.
