Story:

The game is set in the zombie-apocalypse world of the original"Highschool of the Dead" manga and anime by Daisuke Sato and ShoujiSato, in which Fujimi High School and the surrounding world have beenoverrun by undead creatures referred to in-universe as "Them." Playercharacter Takashi Komuro escapes the collapsing school with childhoodfriend Rei Miyamoto after his best friend Hisashi Igou is bitten andturns. The two join up with classmates Saya Takagi and Kota Hirano,kendo club leader Saeko Busujima, and school nurse Shizuka Marikawa,together attempting to survive in a hostile world.DAY 0 presents an original storyline written specifically for the gamerather than a retelling of the source material, so it does not directlyspoil major plot beats from the original work. Characters appear innewly drawn artwork with original outfits, and the game adds collectiblescenes exclusive to this adaptation.
