This year, red leaves are dancing in the hearts of the white herons left behind. The story of assistant detective Shirasagisu Itsuna and her unknown past. āIā¦ where was I trying to go? ā This story begins with the protagonist, who has lost her memory, waking up in a mountain forest filled with autumn leaves. The protagonist is rescued by a high school girl who calls herself ``Taihouin Izuna'' and learns that this is Momoshiro Village, a small village deep in the mountains of A Prefecture. Who am I? Why did you come to such a remote village? Why did I lose my memory? As the protagonist works with Ituna to unravel her memories, she becomes embroiled in the inheritance issues swirling around the village.
