About:
This is a horror game about a teenager called Eddie. He randomly got these nightmares when he was a kid. In this game, Eddie wakes up in the middle of the night as a teen and he hears something, but it was just the storm, so he then goes back to sleep, but THEN the nightmares are BACK again to try and trap the teenager so he can never wake up ever again. So you have to complete these nightmares from Level 1 to 3. Darkness Arrives was delisted on Steam on November 2nd, 2021. It remained available on itch.io but was delisted between August 31st, 2023 and November 17th, 2024. The cause for the delisting is unclear but appears to have been in response to negative reaction to the game.
Story:
Darkness Arrives is a horror game about a teenager named Eddie. As a child, he was plagued by random nightmares. In this game, Eddie wakes up in the middle of the night as a teenager. At first, he hears something, but realizes it’s just the storm, so he goes back to sleep. However, the nightmares return—this time trying to trap him forever so he can never wake up again. Your goal is to survive and complete these nightmares across Levels 1 to 3. Each level contains dream particles, a secret ending, and collectible items. These collectibles represent Eddie’s good dreams, and if you gather them all, you’ll unlock something special. Be careful and explore thoroughly, because some dream particles are hidden behind objects. They also contain messages that guide you to the next scene in the game. Good luck.
