ANNIHILATOR is a gritty top-down shooter, originally made for the Game Boy Color. This is a modern adaption.
Story:
The year is 40XX. Eden Try: a city powered by pain. Buildings, lights, street signs, vending machines—all run on the agony of those unfortunate to endure Tribulation. Pioneered by CRUSH, Tribulation transforms human suffering into fuel for war machines and enhanced soldiers. Victims’ torsos, vital organs, and brains are fused with machines designed to extract raw emotion. Locked in a perpetual loop of death and revival, they relive their final moments endlessly. Fear, hate, hope—all harvested through torture to power the city. But by miracle or chance, One has escaped hell and death followed him. You play as Shinryu, after regaining consciousness. Taken as a trophy and placed in an Annihilator suit, forced to do the bidding of a psychopath CEO. You seek revenge for the pain caused to your family.
