Inspired by the mythology and culture of the Dogon, an ethnic indigenous group in Mali, Amma: Chronicles of Lost Stars is an Afrofantasy action-adventure role-playing game with a focus on story and exploration. The central character in the game is Aya, a teenage weaver from the village of Jûlaya who sees her destiny shift radically when she is chosen by God Nommo as the Guardian to prevent the destruction of the world.
